International Conference on Perspectives in Vibrational Spectroscopy(ICOPVS)
Scientific Community Platform to
Innovate Partner and Collaborate
for Global Research Excellence in Vibrational Spectroscopy
ICOPVS (International Conference on Perspectives in Vibrational Spectroscopy)
ICOPVS serves as a premier platform for academics, researchers, industry professionals, and students from around the world to come together and exchange their latest research findings. The conference will feature invited talks, contributed talks, and poster presentations, covering a wide range of topics related to Vibrational Spectroscopy. ICOPVS (International Conference on Perspectives in Vibrational Spectroscopy ) is the most important and scientifically creative academic platform of the community of vibrational spectroscopy professionals, Scientists, researchers, technologists , Research organisations, institutions, academics and students all over the world inspired and passionately motivated to emulate the life and science mission of Sir C V Raman, the great scientist and the first Nobel laureate in science from India.
ICOPVS has significantly contributed to bring together the renowned science professionals , institutions and research and development organisations interested in vibrational and Raman Spectroscopy worldwide during the past two decades.
We, the team of founders and previous organisers of ICOPVS have now joined hands to build the global fraternity of scientific community of all researchers , institutions research and development organisations and all stakeholders, who have significantly contributed for the ICOPVS events and great research contributions to vibrational and Raman Spectroscopy for innovative and creative initiatives through Raman Spectroscopy and its applications, as we move on to the Raman Centenary in 2028 and beyond.

Sir C V Raman and Raman Spectroscopy
The discovery of Raman Effect by Sir C V Raman in 1928 has now developed into a very prominent scientific tool, the Raman Spectroscopy, over the past decades, and has contributed significantly to almost all branches of science and technology of today. Raman Spectroscopy is one of the most important contribution to the world of science from India. As the scientific and academic community all over the world are preparing for celebrating 100 years of this great discovery, India is also proudly getting ready to transform the Raman centenary to be a landmark in the history of science worldwide with innovative and dynamic initiatives and collaborations for a giant leap towards great heights in science and technology
Vibrational Spectroscopy
Vibrational Spectroscopy consisting of Raman and Infrared spectroscopy, has become a very vibrant research and technology area, as it allows an easy interpretation and highly sensitive structural identification of trace amounts of chemicals based on their unique Vibrational characteristics (fingerprints). The novel applications of Raman spectroscopy and recent technology developments in Vibrational spectroscopy, have resulted in advanced newer technologies and devices with potential for much more innovative science and technology applications. India has made significant scientific contribution to Vibrational Spectroscopy during the past 90 years, through the discovery of Raman Effect by Sir C V Raman in 1928 and the remarkable contributions of Professor C N R Rao in the fields of Infrared spectroscopy and Chemistry of vibrational spectroscopy during the past six decades.
This decade, (2020-2030) is very significant for the scientific world and India, as we are getting ready for well directed research excellence with new Vibrational and Raman spectroscopic innovations and the world moves forward towards 100 years of Raman Spectroscopy in 2028.
